Preparation of Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impacts Statements and Environmental Reports for compliance with NEPA

LWR has prepared numerous environmental reports for NEPA compliance. LWR has completed many third party EA’s and EIS’s for review by the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and other state and federal agencies. We can provide a multi-disciplinary NEPA team that is experienced in all phases of the NEPA process.

Wetland Delineations, Mitigation Planning, Permitting, and Restoration

LWR certified wetland scientists have completed permitting under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act for projects throughout the western U.S. LWR can complete wetland delineations, wetland mitigation plans, wetland restoration, and wetland permitting with the Army Corps of Engineers. LWR has permitted and completed mitigation planning on over 100 projects.

Threatened and Endangered Species, Surveys, Consultations

LWR ecologists have completed rare species surveys throughout the western United States. LWR has completed Section 7 Consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for projects in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, Nebraska, California, Utah, North Dakota, Montana, Arizona and many other western states. LWR has completed multi species Biological Assessments for many projects.

Baseline Ecological Studies

LWR ecologists are experienced at completing baseline ecological studies for projects throughout the western United States. We can complete botanical, wildlife, and aquatic studies. Our certified scientists are experienced completing surveys in all western ecosystems.

Environmental Feasibility Studies and Planning

LWR has completed many studies to determine the environmental feasibility (including environmental and permitting issues) for projects prior to construction. These studies give companies and agencies the opportunity to review project issues and project alternatives prior to completing a major permitting effort.

Environmental Monitoring/Inspection and Training

LWR can complete monitoring of project construction and operation for compliance with environmental permits and mitigation measures. We have completed environmental inspection/monitoring for many large pipeline projects in the west. We have also completed monitoring and over-site of numerous wetland mitigation projects.
